The evidence-heavy layer
Research
Research is reserved for work that requires materially deeper evidence than ordinary reporting: explicit method, disclosed assumptions, reproducible synthesis, and an honest statement of limits and uncertainty.
What Research requires
- Stated inputs and source material
- Assumptions written down, not implied
- An explicit method a reader can follow
- Calculations or reproducible synthesis where relevant
- Limitations and uncertainty disclosed
- Revision discipline when evidence changes
The bar is intentionally narrow
Field Circuit does not label ordinary news or commentary as Research to fill an archive. The label is applied only where the evidence standard above is met. Until qualifying work exists, this page defines the standard rather than presenting an empty category.
