Using the site

You may read, share links to and quote from Field Circuit for lawful purposes. Please do not misuse the site, interfere with its operation or attempt to gain access to parts of it that are not public.

Editorial information, not advice

Field Circuit publishes reporting, analysis and research for general information. It is not professional engineering, legal, financial, investment, agronomic or safety advice for your situation, and readers remain responsible for the decisions they make using it. Where we report a company's claim we say whose claim it is. Company figures that we have not independently checked are not presented as established fact.

Technical information

Technical material, including checklists, calculations, specifications and tools published under Data & Tools, is provided as general reference. Conditions on a particular farm or site differ. Confirm anything that matters with the equipment maker or a qualified professional before relying on it.

Accuracy and corrections

We take care with sourcing and checking, but errors happen. We may correct, update or withdraw published material. If you believe something is wrong, write to research@fieldcircuit.co.za with the subject Correction; see the Contact page.

Our content

Unless stated otherwise, the text, graphics and diagrams that Field Circuit creates are protected by copyright. You may quote reasonable extracts with clear attribution and a link to the original. Reproducing substantial parts needs our written permission, unless the law or a licence stated with the material allows it.

Third-party images and credits

Photographs, diagrams and other material that others created remain the property of their owners and are credited where we use them. We do not claim ownership of them, and their use under a licence or permission to Field Circuit does not extend to you. If you are the rights holder and want a credit changed or an item removed, write to us.

We link to sources and other sites for reference. A link is not an endorsement, and we do not control or take responsibility for what is on other sites.

Membership and subscriptions

You can sign up with your email address to receive Field Circuit and to use member features. Membership is free; Field Circuit does not currently offer paid membership. You can unsubscribe or ask us to close your account at any time. Our Contact page explains how to reach us. How we handle your information is described in our privacy information.

Limitation of liability

We provide the site and its content as they are. To the extent the law allows, Field Circuit is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, or from content on sites we link to. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South African consumer protection law or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
